hard-hitting magic. Across his professional career, he has released over 70 effects and

as well as productions such as Insane Magic (UK) and The Purple Rabbit (Australia).
He also achieved a lifelong ambition by appearing on Penn & Teller: Fool Us with his

Jonathan Goodwin
Jonathan Goodwin has been called “the closest thing we can boast to a real-
life superhero”, and “the world’s greatest theatrical stunt performer”. Jonathan
has been hanged, buried alive, locked in a box while covered in 200,000 bees,
attacked by sharks, bitten by rattlesnakes and hung by his toes from helicopters.
Jonathan has performed on every continent except Antarctica and in every US
State except Alaska. Goodwin has played Broadway, London’s West End, Sydney
Opera House and Radio City Music Hall.
In 2021, Jonathan was involved in an accident while rehearsing a stunt for
American TV. The accident left Jonathan with horrendous injuries and resulted
in him being permanently paralysed from the waist down. Now retired from
stunt performing, Jonathan has turned his attention to writing, directing and
producing and being a roll model (pun intended) for both disabled and able-
bodied people alike.

Sonia Benito
Sonia Benito is one of the most exciting voices in modern magic, known for her dynamic presence, warmth,
and effortless charisma. Originally from Spain and now based in London, she brings a fresh, fashion-forward
edge to contemporary performance.
She has worked with leading global brands including MIU MIU, BOSS, Adidas, MAC Cosmetics, Nespresso,
Samsung, Rimmel London, Nike, and Amazon Music, creating bespoke magic for campaigns, commercials,
and live experiences at the intersection of fashion, music, and visual storytelling.
Sonia has performed for high-profile audiences including Cara Delevingne, George Ezra, Gabriel Iglesias, and
Mae Muller.
Her work is defined by a rare fusion of disciplines. Alongside her career in magic, she established herself
as a commercial dancer, performing with artists such as Rihanna, Pharrell Williams, and RAYE. This dual
foundation informs her signature style, where precision magic meets fluid, expressive movement.
Blending refined technique with a distinctly modern aesthetic, Sonia reimagines magic as something
immersive, elegant, and completely unexpected.
In this lecture, Sonia Benito explores three core elements of her approach in magic: camera presence,
choreographed movement, and creative development. Drawing on her background as both a magician and
professional dancer, she shares practical techniques for feeling confident on camera, structuring magic
through intentional movement, and developing original effects. The session offers clear, applicable tools to
elevate your performance style and create work that feels authentic to you.
