The Magic Circle, has elected Marvin Berglas as its new president, following in the footsteps of his famous father David, the “International Man of Mystery”, who held the post in 1990s.
Marvin is the founder of Marvin’s Magic whose tricks and set boxes can be found in stores in over 60 countries including Hamleys and Harrods in London and FAO Schwarz in New York.
The 64-tear-old, the VIP magician at Arsenal FC, takes over from Megan Swann who held the post for two years and was the society’s first woman president. David, famous in his day for driving blindfold through London to find a hidden object, is still alive, aged 97.
Lee Hathaway who has been chairman of Council for several years has been elected the vice-chairman
Lee topped the poll to elect members to the ten-man Council Council but his successful election as Vice President meant he dropped out of the Council election.
The ten people elected to the Council were Mandy Davis, David Weeks, Michael J Fitch, Paul Martin, Rodney James Piper, Liam Ball, Roger Curtis, Paul Draper m, Paul Longhurst and Ozzy D.
