Fergus Flanagan was crowned the first winner of The Magic Circle Virtual Magician of the Year Competition, beating four other magicians in the final which was broadcast on zoom to over 300 people around the world on Sunday night (March 13). The runner-up was Vlad Grigorescu and the other finalists were Chris Fleming, Abel Megyes and Chris Herren.
Flanagan’s set , which included a Rubik cube entering a solid glass jar, a lottery prediction and various visual illusions, impressed the four judges from The Magic Circle as well as the public whose votes made up 60 per cent of the total.
