The Irving Schneider Youth Award

The Maskelyne Endowment Fund announces that this year’s Irving Schneider Youth Award goes to Edward Hilsum.   The bursary, awarded annually to a young member of The Magic Circle, takes the form of a week-long Master Class at the Jeff McBride Mystery School in Las Vegas.

Ed Hilsum has progressed from the Young Magicians Club, where he won the Stage Magic competition, to membership of The Magic Circle.   He was a hit in the Stars of Tomorrow show at last year’s Society of American Magicians convention in Buffalo, and has recently returned from appearing in the finals of the ‘Teen’ competition at the World Magic Seminar in Las Vegas.

Past recipients of the Irving Schneider Youth Award are Paul Dabek, Jonathan Shotton, and Ben Hart.
