If you’re not quite ready to take your examination to join The Magic Circle then our Apprentice Scheme could be perfect for you. It allows those wishing to join The Magic Circle the opportunity to enjoy many of the benefits of being a member as they prepare to take their exam.
Apprentices are expected to show potential to pass The Magic Circle examination within two years, but receive mentorship and support during this time to make this journey as enjoyable and educational as possible.
Applicants seeking to join as Apprentices must be over 18 years of age and be proposed by an existing member who has known them for at least one year. This requirement may be relaxed if you can offer sufficient justification of your suitability to become an Apprentice, but many local magic clubs contain members of The Magic Circle who will be able to give you advice and may become your sponsor.
Fees and subscriptions are the same as those for full membership with an initial joining fee and annual membership charge. For more details you can check out the How much does it cost to join The Magic Circle? page.
Please note, Apprentices are not entitled to call themselves members of The Magic Circle or use The Magic Circle logo on their promotional material. Additionally, Apprentices are not able to take advantage of certain other member benefits including inviting guests to club nights, voting in elections and the mutual Magic Castle visitation agreement.
